The Eurocentrica Association supported the participation of a volunteer from August 3 to 10 in the archaeological excavation campaign conducted in the Temple sector of the ancient city of Histria by the “Vasile Pârvan” Institute of Archaeology in Bucharest.
The Eurocentrica initiative is part of the project “Support for Archaeological Research at the City of Histria 2025,” carried out with funds provided by the sponsor SC Trident Pharma SRL.
The volunteer supported by Eurocentrica is Răzvan Motroc, from the “Alexandru Lahovari” National High School in Râmnicu Vâlcea. He provided valuable assistance to the researchers and developed various skills specific to archaeological work, such as identifying artifacts, excavating archaeological contexts while respecting stratigraphic units, documenting ancient remains and more.
Additionally, Răzvan participated in study trips in Dobrogea, near the Histria fortress. For his efforts, Răzvan received a VoluntPass volunteer certificate, recognized at the European level.
