„Saving the dialectological and ethnographic archival material preserved in Chişinău, Republic of Moldova”

Main objective: The main goal of the project was to secure, digitise and make available for research on the website https://folclor-dialectologie.md/ the only dialectological collection gathered on a large scale and with proper methodology, from ca. 240 Romanian speaking communities of the former USSR, mostly from Bessarabia, between the Prut and Dniester rivers, but also from the Carpathians to Caucasia (currently in the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Russia), containing written notes and audio recordings on reel tapes, consisting of dialectological peculiarities, folkloric songs and tales, descriptions of traditional customs and crafts. The material is currently administered by the Institute of Romanian Philology „Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu”.
