The second session of training in the action “Saving the folkloric archival material preserved in Chişinău, Republic of Moldova” took place in Chişinău between the 27th of May and the 1st of June. Experts from Romania presented to the researchers and workers in the field of cultural heritage from the Republic of Moldova basic principles and actual methods employed in digitising manuscripts, books and reel to reel tapes as well as in organizing and describing physical and digital archives.

During this session, the staff that will manage the folkloric archival material saved through this action was prepared specifically for this task and the experts from Romania and the research team of the action made presentations about their work during the Tenth Edition of the International Scientific Conference “Cultural Heritage: Research, Valorization, Promotion”, organized by the Institute of Cultural Heritage.

The grant for the action “Saving the folkloric archival material preserved in Chişinău, Republic of Moldova” was received by Dr. hab. Victor Ghilaş. It is offered by the British Library, through its Endangered Archives Programme.
